I wrote my first ad at age 13. It was a flyer promoting a summer lawn-mowing business with my best friend. Made the ad using one of those old-school turn-and-click labelers that printed all-caps on red tape. We carpet-bombed the entire neighborhood with hundreds of photocopies. Gritty, black-and-white, and all-type, those flyers found their way to the front porch of every house within a six block radius of Lorne Street. The result? Two clients. We were in business.

I was an English major at UCLA. An on-campus advertising club led to an internship, and, well, here we are. I’ve been fortunate to work at some of the biggest and best agencies, including Deutsch, BBDO, RPA, Campbell-Ewald, and mcgarrybowen. I’ve also experienced the business from the perspective of creative boutiques like Stein/Robaire/Helm, Houston Effler, Factory Design Labs and VITRO. I cofounded and ran my own shop for a few years, with clients like DirecTV and MTV Networks. I’ve helped build the brands of adidas, ASICS, The North Face, Oakley, Budweiser, Wild Turkey, Herradura, Jefferson’s Bourbon, MTV, Honda, Acura, Chevy, GM, Mitsubishi, Infiniti, Saturn, Hyundai, Genesis, TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA and hundreds more.

I like to do lots of things. And enjoy trying to do them well. I love the craft of copywriting and creating across different media. I have a few other pursuits too. I believe inspiration comes from everywhere. And the more you branch out, the more you bring in. Here’s a little more about me:
